FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's basketball team defeated the University of Pacific Tigers 80-66 at home on Tuesday night in Titan Gym.
The Titans improved to 4-2 for the season and have defeated two straight WCC opponents at home.
The Titans led for most of the game except for a few minutes in the third quarter. The Titans shot 41.3 % from the field and held the Tigers to 37.7% shooting. The Titans defense also picked up 12 steals in the game.
Fujika Nimmo led all scorers with 22 points. Una Jovanovic was second with 18 points, Ashlee Lewis had 14 points, and Gabi Vidmar had 10 points to go along with three steals.
The Titans led 19-13 after the first quarter. Una Jovanovic led the offense with 8 points in the early going.

The Tigers outplayed the Titans in the second period to finish off the half trailing by just one point, 28-27.
Pacific came out of the halftime break strong and led for almost seven minutes to start the second half. A three-pointer by Kathryn Neff out of a media time out swung the pendulum back in favor of the Titans to give them a 39-37 lead.

The Titans would finish out the third period on a 12-7 run in the final 3 minutes to take a 51-44 lead into the 4th quarter.

Fujika Nimmo took control of the game in the 4th quarter as she scored 13 of her 22 points in the final period of play.

The Tigers were within 2 points for a good portion of the period. However the Titans would finish the final 2:57 seconds on a 16-3 scoring run to blow open the game.
The Titans head to Westwood for their next game on Saturday, December 10th against UCLA. Opening tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m.
