Women's Basketball Adds Brittany Aikens to Coaching Staff

FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton women's basketball and Head Coach Jeff Harada announced the addition of Brittany Aikens to the coaching staff.

"We're excited and blessed to add Britt to our Titan Ohana. Her energy, maturity and interpersonal skills really stood out to me throughout the hiring process and she will be a great addition to our staff," Harada said. "She's learned from some really good coaches, working her way up the ladder each step of the way and her knowledge and experiences as a DI athlete and coach will definitely benefit our players and program."

Aikens comes to Cal State Fullerton after spending the last two seasons at Seattle where she served as the director of operations during the 2020-21 season before being promoted to assistant coach last year.

Aikens served as the director of player development at the University of Nevada, Reno, in 2019-20. She was a graduate assistant at Nevada prior to that. In her time at Nevada, Aikens worked on the program's recruiting, opponent scouting, and player development.

Aikens played at Fresno State, graduating in 2016. During her playing career, Aikens earned Most Improved Player and helped Fresno State to the Mountain West Conference championship game as a senior. Twice in her Fresno State career Aikens helped the Bulldogs reach postseason play, playing in the NCAA Tournament in 2013-14 and in the WNIT in 2015-16. Aikens also played college basketball at Howard Junior College as a freshman before transferring to Fresno State.

Aikens also played semi-professional basketball with the SoCal Splash while earning her teaching certificate from Cal State San Bernardino. She helped the Splash earn both conference and regional championships en route to an appearance in the national tournament.
