RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton women's basketball dropped its penultimate regular season game to UC Riverside Thursday night by a final score of 62-59. The Titans are now 10-16 overall and 5-11 in conference play.

Fullerton made a valiant effort to comeback in the second half after trailing 35-20 at halftime. Ashlee Lewis scored a bucket with 21 seconds left to make it a one-point game but the Titans were unable to get over the hump.

Lewis had a tied for game-high 16 points for the Titans on 6-of-18 shooting with seven rebounds. Aixchel Hernandez came off the bench to score 12 points on an extremely efficient 6-of-7 shooting.

Keilanei Cooper scored a team-high 16 points for UC Riverside while adding five rebounds, four assists and five steals. Olivia West and Anna blount scored 11 and 10 points, respectively. 

The Titans look to finish the regular season strong Saturday night on the road against UC Davis. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
