Women's Basketball Defeats CSUN, 61-53

FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton women's basketball earned its second consecutive victory at Titan Gym with its 61-53 win over CSUN Saturday night. The Titans improve to 10-13 and 5-8 in Big West play. 

The Titans had a complete team effort to defeat the Matadors, getting offensive contributions from nine different players including 18 points off the bench. 

Lily Wahinekapu led the team offensively with 14 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the floor and an impressive 3-of-4 from behind the arc. Wahinekapu added three rebounds, three assists and three steals. 

Gavi Vadmir added 10 points on 3-of-8 from the floor while hitting two three's. Vidmar grabbed two boards and dished out four assists while forcing three turnovers on the defensive end. 

Fujika Nimmo came off the bench to score eight points while adding four rebounds and two assists. Aixchel Hernandez added six points off the bench on 3-of-7 shooting. 

The Titans look to extend their winning streak as the team hits the road to face UC Irvine Thursday at 7:00 p.m. PT.
