NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton women's basketball dominated CSUN, 65-50, to earn its first victory at the Matadome since 2008. The Titans are now 6-6 this season and 1-1 in Big West play.

The Titans starting five had one of its best games of the season. Four of the five starters scored in double figures as Lily Wahinekapu led the way with 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting while dishing out three assists and grabbing four rebounds.

Ashlee Lewis added 11 points on an efficient 5-of-7 from the field to go along with four rebounds. Kathryn Neff and Fujika Nimmo each dropped 10 points while Neff grabbed four boards and Nimmo added six assists. Carolyn Gill was one point away from a double-double with nine points and 10 rebounds.

Both teams got off to a slow start on the offensive end before Neff drilled two corner three's to put the Titans up 8-5. Neff scored all 10 of her points in the first quarter, leading to the Titans 16-10 lead after 10 minutes of play.

Fullerton created offense off of CSUN's missed shots to push the ball up the court. The Titans built its first double-digit lead of the game early in the second quarter as Gill took a defensive rebound and found Una Jovanovic who caught the Matadors defense out of position. The Titans scored 13 fastbreak points in the game.

After leading 33-23 at halftime, the Titans broke the game open in the second half as they extended the lead to as much as 25 points, 59-34, capped off by a three-pointer by Wahinekapu.

The Titans got 13 points off the bench led by Aixchel Hernandez's six points on an efficient 3-of-5 shooting to go along with three rebounds and two blocks.
