FULLERTON, Calif. –  The Titans (0-3) fell to San Diego (1-1) on Tuesday evening by a score of 70-60. Junior forward Amiee Book and freshman guard Gabi Vidmar each scored 14 points to lead the team in points.

The Toreros never trailed in Tuesday's game and their lead reached its peak at 16 at the halftime break. They forced the Titans into 29 turnovers and converted those into 22 points which helped them maintain their lead throughout. Fullerton closed the gap to seven at the 4:22 mark of the third quarter and hung around for the rest of the game but just couldn't get over the proverbial hump.

Fullerton shared the ball well with 18 assists on 23 field goals made. The squad shot 45.1% (23-51) from the floor, 30% (6-20) beyond the arc and 72.7% (8-11) at the charity stripe. The Titans won the rebounding battle 33-26 and forced 16 turnovers that turned into 14 points.

Book tallied 14 points, nine rebounds, two assists, one steal and two blocks in 36:09 on the court. Vidmar struggled to shoot the ball but still impacted the game with 14 points, five assists, four steals and a blocked shot in 35 minutes of action. Senior guard Joy Krupa hauled in a game-high 14 rebounds, one short of her career high, to go with six points, five assists, one steal and one block in almost 38 minutes of play. 

Next up, the squad is set to host Pepperdine on Sunday, Dec. 20 at 3 p.m. PT in Titan Gym. The game will be streamed live on BigWest.TV.
