LONG BEACH, Calif. –  It was a great season for the Titans (17-14, 8-8 BWC), but it ended on Wednesday night at the hands of Hawai'i 72 to 59.  It was the first winning season for the program since 1990-91.  Raina Perez was also the first Titan named conference Player of the Year since Genia Miller that very same year.

The Titans didn't go down without a fight.  Taylor Turney had 16 points, four rebounds and three assists.  Amiee Book scored 14 points and hauled down six rebounds.  Carolyn Gill had five points and six boards.  Madison Freemon led the Titans with seven rebounds, and Ashlee Ane came off the bench to shoot 2-2 from behind the 3-point arc for six points.

Redshirt-junior Raina Perez had 10 points to go with six rebounds and three assists.  Perez needs just 10 more points to join the Cal State Fullerton 1,000 Point Club.

The Titans shot 35.6% from the floor, while Hawai'i shot 47.1%.  The Rainbow Wahine barely outrebounded Fullerton 36-33.

With no seniors on the team, three exciting recruits already signed, and three All-Big West performers returning, I'm sure that October can't get here soon enough for head coach Jeff Harada and his staff.
