FULLERTON, Calif. – The big news that took place last week was that the Titans (16-11, 8-6 BWC) beat both UC Riverside and Hawai'i to move into a second-place tie with the Rainbow Wahine in the conference standings.  With only two games left to play in the regular season, seeding in the Big West Women's Basketball Tournament becomes all-important.

Perhaps even more noteworthy, the two wins assured head coach Jeff Harada and his squad of the first winning season for Titans women's basketball since 1990-91.

Fullerton is now in the final week of the regular season, and its Rivalry Week.  On Wednesday, March 4, the Titans will travel to the Walter Pyramid to face arch-rival Long Beach State (11-16, 6-8 BWC) at 7:00 p.m.

On Saturday, March 7, Fullerton will return to historic Titan Gym to host UC Irvine at 5:00 p.m. in their regular season finale.  The game is part of a doubleheader with the men's basketball team who will take on Long Beach State at 7:30 p.m.  Saturday is also Women's Empowerment Night.  All women, and those that identify as women, will receive FREE admission.

The Titan starting five are led by three-time Big West Player of the Week, Raina Perez, who is first in the Big West, and ninth in the nation in points per game with a 20.6 average.  Guard Taylor Turney is averaging 14.1 points per game, 5.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists.  Forward Amiee Book is averaging 12.5 points and 5.5 boards.  Junior forward Carolyn Gill is averaging 6.4 rebounds per game to go with her 8.5 points.  And center Madison Freemon is posting 4.9 points and 4.0 boards per night.

Junior Raina Perez has scored 934 points as a Titan.  She is just 66 points shy of joining CSUF's 1,000 Point Club.

Cal State Fullerton leads the Big West Conference (All Games) in scoring offense (69.0 points per game) and field goal percentage (.437).
