FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton women's basketball (11-8, 3-3 BWC) will stay at home this week to host league-leading UC Davis (11-9, 6-1 BWC) on Thursday, February 6 at 7:00 p.m., and UC Riverside (5-13, 2-5 BWC) on Saturday, February 8 at 5:00 p.m. in historic Titan Gym.

Head coach Jeff Harada's Titans snapped a three-game losing streak on Thursday, January 30 with a nail-biting 65-64 victory over Cal Poly.

After starting their conference season with a loss to UC Riverside, UC Davis has been red-hot, winning their last six games.  The Aggies are led by redshirt-junior guard Katie Toole, who is averaging 14.8 points per game, and is shooting 50% from behind the 3-point arc.

UC Riverside is currently going in the opposite direction, having lost their last four games.  UC Riverside started the season under a dark cloud following head coach John Margaritis' September resignation following allegations of verbal and emotional abuse.

The Highlanders are helmed by interim head coach Seyram Bell.  UCR's leading scorer is senior Jannon Otto who is averaging 15.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.

The Titans are led by three-time Big West Player of the Week, Raina Perez, who is first in the Big West, and number eight in the nation in points per game with a 20.9 average.  Guard Taylor Turney is averaging 13.0 points per game, 5.4 rebounds and 4.7 assists.  Forward Amiee Book is averaging 13.2 points and 5.6 boards.  Junior Carolyn Gill is averaging 6.5 rebounds per game to go with her 9.2 points.

Cal State Fullerton leads the Big West Conference in scoring offense (69.9 points per game), field goal percentage (.443) and assists (15.7).

Thursday is National Girls & Women in Sports Day.  The Day was established on February 4, 1987 by President Ronald Reagan, recognizing the history of women's athletics.  It also recognized the progress made by the Title IX amendment passed in 1972.

Saturday's game is part of a doubleheader with the men's basketball team.  Both games will be broadcast by ESPN3.
