SAN DIEGO, Calif. – It would be no exaggeration to say that Raina Perez willed the Titans to victory this afternoon in San Diego, as the Titans pulled away from the USD Toreros in the third quarter to go on to a 72-67 win, snapping a three-game losing streak.

Perez, a two-time Big West Player of the Week this season, led all scorers with 34 points on a sizzling 12-15 (80.0%) shooting night.  Additionally, she went 5-5 from the 3-point arc, 5-5 from the free throw line, and notched 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals.

The Titans as a team shot 24-48 (50.0%) from the floor, and 18-23 (78.3%) from the free throw line.  Both were key factors in securing the win for Fullerton.

Of note, Amiee Book returned to the starting lineup and added 7 points.  Taylor Turney logged 12 points, 5 boards and 7 assists.  Carolyn Gill had 8 points, 9 boards and 3 assists.  Coming off of the bench, Megan Nieto contributed 7 key points on 3-4 shooting in her 18 minutes on the floor.

Head coach Jeff Harada had this to say about the game:  "I'm really proud of our team's resiliency to get a big win against a very tough USD team.  Our start wasn't the greatest, but we stayed within striking distance.  After talking about some things at halftime it was nice to see our response."

"Obviously, Raina was amazing tonight, but everyone stepped in and made plays, especially some that don't show up on the stat sheet."

Cal State Fullerton (5-5, 0-0 BWC) will return to Titan Gym on Friday, December 13 when they will host Cal Baptist in a 7:00 p.m. contest.
