FULLERTON, Calif. – It was one of those nights where the Titan shots simply wouldn't drop.  Unfortunately, it happens.  Cal State Fullerton fell to the Delaware Blue Hens 72-55 in day one of the Titan Classic.

Winners of their last two games, Cal State Fullerton could only manage 19-68 (27.9%) from the floor, including 3-17 (17.6%) from the 3-point arc.  After scoring over 20 points in her last five games, Raina Perez was held to 14 points on 6-20 shooting.

Carolyn Gill, starting her second consecutive game, was a Titan co-scoring leader with 14 points.  Madison Freemon and Malia Goldsmith came off of the bench to contribute 8 and 6 points respectively.  Joy Krupa led all players with 14 rebounds.

In the opening game of the tournament, Santa Clara was in complete control downing Montana 68-58.

Fullerton (4-3, 0-0 BWC) will wrap up the Titan Classic tomorrow with a 5:00 p.m. match-up with the Montana Lady Griz.
