FULLERTON, Calif. - After showing tremendous improvement with a 14-16 finish and a Big West Tournament appearance last season, head coach Jeff Harada is looking forward to the start of the 2019-20 Cal State Fullerton women's basketball season: "I'm really excited about our team and the direction of the program heading into year three.  It's always tough when you lose four experienced seniors, including a first team All-Big West player in Daeja Smith," said Harada.  "But I really like the makeup and depth of this team."

The Titans will be returning some firepower in All-Big West Honorable Mention guard, Raina Perez (13.0 points / 5.0 assists), and Big West All-Freshman and Best Sixth Person, forward Amiee Book (9.7 points / 4.3 rebounds).  The pair will be joined by a solid core of returnees in Carolyn Gill, Ashlee Ane, Madison Freemon, Janette Mensah, Clarissa Rodarte and Triann Thompson.

Regarding the 2019 -20 newcomers, Harada said: "I think (redshirt transfers) Taylor Turney and Joy Krupa are hungry to get on the court after sitting out last year.  (Freshmen) Megan Nieto, Kathryn Neff, Anniken Frey and Malia Goldsmith are working hard and learning what it means to be a Division I student-athlete."

With no seniors on the roster, the young Titans will be tested early with their first four contests on the road.  Fortunately, the Titans will stay in the west with games at Utah, UNLV, Loyola Marymount and San Diego State, before returning to the welcoming environs of Titan Gym on November 20 to host Utah State.

Cal State Fullerton will play 15 games on the road, and 14 games in Titan Gym, including the new Titan Classic tournament which will take place over Thanksgiving weekend.  Home contests will include matchup's with Utah State, Seattle University, Air Force, and our traditional Big West rivals, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara and Long Beach State.

Fans will have their first opportunity to see the 2019-20 Titans on Saturday, November 2, when they host Biola in an exhibition game at Titan Gym.  Tip-off will be at 1:00 p.m.

Cal State Fullerton women's basketball will host their second annual Luau Fundraiser on Saturday, October 19 at Florentine's Grill in downtown Fullerton.  To RSVP, click HERE.
