FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton was in full control coming out of halftime cruising to a 78-64 victory over Cal Poly on Saturday night. That makes this the first 10-win season since 2014-15 and the fastest to 10 victories since the 1990-91 season.

Daeja Smith had a phenomenal bounce back game picking up a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. It's the 26th double-double of her career putting her in a tie for third most in program history. Amiee Book had a nice game going for 15 points on 6-9 shooting while Raina Perez had another double-figure scoring game with 15 points as well. Hannah Thompson was the fourth and final Titan in double-digits with 11 points. Jade Vega moved into eighth all-time in assists finishing with a game-high seven to go along with eight points.

It was a very even game throughout the first half as both teams shot just under 40% and went into the half tied at 31 thanks to a buzzer beating bucket for Cal Poly.

The second half was a completely different story as Fullerton came out of the break red hot. As a team, they shot 68.8% from the field outscoring the Mustangs by 10 points. Perez led the offensive beatdown shooting 5-6 from the field giving her 10 of the Titans' 25 third quarter points.

The fourth quarter was more of the same as the Fullerton defense continued to hold the Mustangs in check, while the offense stayed on fire. Shooting a blistering 72.7% from the field, Fullerton ran away with it extending their lead to as many as 18 points with less than a minute left to play.

The victory moves them to 10-6 overall and 2-1 in Big West play. The Titans will be back in action next week as they head to UC Santa Barbara on Thursday.
