THIS WEEK
Cal State Fullerton will play its final two non-conference games of the year at Titan Gym this week, concluding a four-game homestand. The Titans will host Columbia at 7 p.m., Thursday, before playing Antelope Valley for the first time in program history at 2 p.m., Saturday.

WEEKLY RECAP
Cal State Fullerton's third-quarter 12-point lead evaporated in last Thursday's 71-61 loss to San Diego State at Titan Gym. Jade Vega led the Titans scoring a season-high 17 points against the Aztecs. Cal State Fullerton is on a five-game losing streak and has yet to win a game in the month of December.

GAME NOTES
From 71-61 loss to San Diego State (Dec. 22)
Cal State Fullerton held its first halftime lead since a 72-56 win over Montana on Nov. 30…Fullerton lost its first game that it held a halftime lead this season…Jade Vega's three-pointer at the 7:41 mark of the first quarter gave Cal State Fullerton its first lead in a game in its last 122:10 minutes of play going back to the 9:51 mark of the first quarter of the Titans' game at Eastern Washington on Dec. 8…Jade Vega scored a season-high 17 points…Daeja Smith dished out a career-high four assists…Cal State Fullerton's 12-point lead was its largest lost of the season.

IN THE BIG WEST AND MORE
• Junior guard Iman Lathan enters the week leading the Big West Conference in scoring (52nd in the nation), averaging 18.1 points per game. The junior guard has led the Titans in scoring on eight occasions this season.
• Sophomore center Daeja Smith's 7.4 rebounds per game rank fifth in the league. Her .548 field goal percentage rates third in the conference. 
• Senior center Dhanyel Johnson is averaging 7.3 rebounds per game to rank sixth in the Big West.
Iman Lathan and Jade Vega are each averaging 1.5 steals per game, respectively, which ranks eighth in the league.
Jordan Jackson's average of 2.0 made three-pointers per game ranks sixth in the Big West and Jade Vega's average of 1.6 treys per game rates 10th. Jade Vega's .439 three-point field goal shooting percentage rates fourth. 
• Cal State Fullerton has two players with offensive rebounding averages ranking in the top 10 of the Big West Conference: Daeja Smith (3.5, 2nd) and Dhanyel Johnson (3.3, 3rd).

KEYS TO VICTORY
• Cal State Fullerton is 2-0 when opponents score 59 points or less and 0-9 when opponents score 60 points or more.
• Fullerton is 2-1 when leading at the half and 0-8 when trailing at the break. • Fullerton is 2-0 when five or more players score in double figures.

COLUMBIA NOTES
• The Columbia women's basketball team secured its best 10-game start in program history with a 66-57 victory over LIU Brooklyn on Dec. 12. The win improved the Lions to 8-2, winning eight of their first 10 games for the first time in the program's 30-plus-year history. 
• It was also Columbia's sixth straight victory, a streak the program had not accomplished since its inaugural Division I season in 1986-87.
• The Lions have not played a Big West Conference member or like opponent from the CSF schedule this season. Columbia has two Southern California natives on the roster.

AGAINST THE IVY LEAGUE
Cal State is 2-3 all-time against the Ivy League. Columbia will be the Titans first and only Ivy League opponent during th 2016-17 season.

ANTELOPE VALLEY NOTES
• Antelope Valley is currently in its fourth year as a member of the NAIA and is competing in the California Pacific Conference for the second-straight year.
• The 2016-17 season is the first year of competition for the women's basketball program at Antelope Valley.
• Ahteana Jones leads the Pioneers averaging 13.1 points per game.

THE RETURNERS
Fullerton returns to the floor with just one starter from last year, 5-foot-5 sophomore guard, Jade Vega. In total, the Titans return only three letterwinners with sophomore guard Lauren Nubla and senior center Dhanyel Johnson back on the floor. 

2017 RECRUITING CLASS
The Cal State Fullerton women's basketball team welcomed four commits to the program as high school seniors Laura Dalton, Xinavane Foreman, Carolyn Gill and Mason VanHouten each signed National Letters of Intent to begin their respective collegiate careers at Fullerton for the 2017-18 season, it was announced by fourth-year head coach Daron Park on Nov. 16.

AWARD SEASON
Junior guard Iman Lathan averaged 23.7 points over three games to earn Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors on Dec. 6.The native of Temecula, Calif., led the Titans in scoring in all three games as they went 2-1 overall.For the week, Lathan averaged 6.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals in addition to leading the Titans in scoring.  She also got to the free throw line extensively, making 17 of her 27 attempts.

LAST TIME OUT
Led by McKynzie Fort, San Diego State quickly extinguished Cal State Fullerton's fourth-quarter lead and stormed back to defeat the Titans 71-61 at Titan Gym on Thursday night. Fort scored a game-high 29 points, 14 of which came in the fourth quarter on 5-of-7 shooting. Sophomore guard Jade Vega scored a season-high 17 points to lead Cal State Fullerton, matching a career best with four made three-pointers.
