THIS WEEK
Cal State Fullerton will begin its longest home stretch of the season this week as the Titans host Pepperdine (0-9) at Titan Gym on Saturday with tip-off scheduled for 6 p.m. Fullerton's four final non-conference games will be played at home as the game against the Waves will be followed by a 5 p.m. tip-off vs. San Diego State on Thursday, Dec. 22, as part of a doubleheader with the men's team.
WEEKLY RECAP
Cal State Fullerton dropped two games to a pair of Big Sky Conference foes from the Northwest, falling 84-67 at Eastern Washington on Dec. 8, before suffering an 81-73 loss at Portland State on Saturday.
THE LAST TIME
Cal State Fullerton last defeated Pepperdine, 61-46, on Nov. 16, 2011 at Titan Gym.
GAME NOTES
From 84-67 loss at Eastern Washington (Dec. 8):
Dhanyel Johnson posted her first double-double of the season setting career highs with 19 points and 12 rebounds…Daeja Smith recorded her third double-double in the last four games while scoring a career-high 17 points…the Titans shot a season best 51.9 percent from the floor and committed a season-high 25 turnovers.
From 81-73 loss at Portland State (Dec. 10):
Dhanyel Johnson has recorded two-consecutive double-doubles…Iman Lathan has led the Titans in scoring for five-straight games and has reached the 20-point threshold for five straight games.
IN THE BIG WEST AND MORE
• Iman Lathan enters the week leading the Big West Conference in scoring, averaging 18.3 points per game. The junior guard has led the Titans in scoring on seven occasions this season - including the last five games - and has reached the 20-point plateau in each of those seven games.
• Daeja Smith's 7.3 rebounds per game rank seventh in the league. Her .552 field goal percentage rates third in the conference. She has also recorded three double-doubles in her last five games.
• Jordan Jackson's average of 2.2 made three-pointers per game ranks fifth in the Big West.
• Cal State Fullerton has two players with offensive rebounding averages ranking in the top 10 of the Big West Conference: Daeja Smith (3.3, 3rd) and Dhanyel Johnson (3.2, 4th).
KEYS TO VICTORY
• Cal State Fullerton is 2-0 when opponents score 59 points or less and 0-7 when opponents score 60 points or more.
• Fullerton is 2-0 when leading at the half and 0-5 when trailing at the break as well as 0-5 if the Titans turn the ball over more often than their opponents. Fullerton is 2-0 when five or more players score in double figures.

PEPPERDINE NOTES
• Pepperdine enters Saturday's game with an 0-9 record, which also includes and 0-3 mark against the Big West Conference with losses to Long Beach State (44-41), UC Santa Barbara (66-57) and Cal Poly (62-52). The Waves have played one like opponent of the Titans this year, falling 75-67 at Denver on Dec. 6.
• Freshman Barbara Sitanggan has been giving the Waves solid minutes at the point guard spot. She currently leads the team with 35 assists and 19 steals on the year.
• Senior guard Allie Green became the 22nd player in program history to surpass the 1,000 point mark for her career. Green notched her 1,000th career point in the first quarter against Utah Valley on a three-pointer.

SAN DIEGO STATE NOTES
• San Diego State (3-6) will have an 11-day layoff between its 84-70 victory over UC Santa Barbara and its game with the Titans on Thursday, Dec. 22.
• The Aztecs boast a 1-2 record against Big West Conference opponents this season, falling 72-44 at UC Riverside in the season opener on Nov. 11, and suffering a 75-55 loss at UC Davis on Dec. 2.
• McKynzie Fort leads SDSU averaging 15.8 points per game.
AGAINST THE WEST COAST CONFERENCE
Fullerton is 0-2 against the West Coast Conference this year, suffering an 103-50 loss at San Diego on Nov. 11 in the season opener before being defeated, 77-62, by Loyola Marymount at Titan Gym on Dec. 4.
THE RETURNERS
Fullerton returns to the floor with just one starter from last year, 5-foot-5 sophomore guard, Jade Vega. In total, the Titans return only three letterwinners with sophomore guard Lauren Nubla and senior center Dhanyel Johnson back on the floor.
2017 RECRUITING CLASS
The Cal State Fullerton women's basketball team welcomed four commits to the program as high school seniors Laura Dalton, Xinavane Foreman, Carolyn Gill and Mason VanHouten each signed National Letters of Intent to begin their respective collegiate careers at Fullerton for the 2017-18 season, it was announced by fourth-year head coach Daron Park on Nov. 16.
AWARD SEASON
Junior guard Iman Lathan averaged 23.7 points over three games to earn Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors on Dec. 6.The native of Temecula, Calif., led the Titans in scoring in all three games as they went 2-1 overall.For the week, Lathan averaged 6.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals in addition to leading the Titans in scoring. She also got to the free throw line extensively, making 17 of her 27 attempts.
LAST TIME OUT
Cal State Fullerton junior guard Iman Lathan once again led the Titans in scoring, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with Portland State's shooting touch as the Vikings posted an 81-73 victory over Fullerton at the Stott Center on Dec. 10.

Game day sales and will call tickets will open one hour prior to the scheduled time at the specific venue. All Cal State Fullerton students with a school ID get free admission.
