FULLERTON, Calif. - Michelle Berry notched her ninth double-double of the season and Sami Logan scored 14 points off the bench but Cal State Fullerton dropped its 21st straight game of the season, a 63-59 loss to UC Davis Saturday afternoon at Titan Gym.

Lauren Nubla's shot with 1.4 seconds remaining would've tied the game at 61, but the floater sailed long and Pele Gianotti grabbed the loose ball to secure the victory for the visitors.

Berry scored 17 points and grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds while Logan was 4-for-10 from three-point land for the Titans (2-21, 0-9) en route to 14 points. The Aggies (13-9, 6-3) got 15 points from Alyson Doherty and 13 points from Celia Marfone in the victory.

The Titans trailed by only four at the half despite shooting a shade better than 25 percent (8-for-31) in the first 20 minutes, thanks to five 3-pointers in the first half on 15 attempts. Berry and Logan led the team with nine points apiece in the first half with Logan draining three of the team's five shots from beyond the arc.

In the third quarter, the teams combined to drain eight 3-pointers in the period and traded bombs from long range in the final four minutes of the quarter. Portia Neale drained a shot from beyond the arc to cut the Aggies lead to 39-38, but Dani Nafekh answered with a three of her own. Dani Craig responded right back for the Titans with another three, her third of the period. Overall, the teams sank seven threes in the last four minutes of the period, the last coming from Rachel Nagel to put the Aggies back up by four.

Neale finished with 11 points on 4-for-9 shooting while Craig scored all nine of her points in the third quarter.

The Aggies put some distance between themselves and the Titans with a 7-0 scoring run to start the fourth quarter. But Fullerton responded with a 7-0 run of its own to bring the deficit back down to four with 6:15 left in the game. After a layup from Marfone, Logan drained another 3-pointer and then Berry sank a jumper with 1:19 remaining to make it a one-point game at 57-56. The Aggies then got another layup from Marfone and a free throw from Rachel Nagel to make it 60-56 before Berry was fouled on a three with nine seconds left.

The Titans forward drained all three shots from the charity stripe to make it a one point game again before Nafekh hit one of her two free throws, setting the stage for Nubla's missed shot at the end of the game.

The Titans will host UC Riverside on Thursday before taking on the Aggies for a second time in seven days on Feb. 13 in Davis, Calif.
