LONG BEACH, Calif. – Three Titans scored double-digit points, highlighted by freshman Dani Craig's 16-point effort in the second half, yet it wasn't enough as the Titans fell at Long Beach State 57-62 at Walter Pyramid on Wednesday night.

Michelle Berry recorded her sixth double-double with a 10-point, 10 rebound and 6 assist effort after missing the previous game at Cal Poly. Also in double digits was Dhanyel Johnson who got the Titans back in the game with her 15-point effort, a new career-high for the Jamaica native.

The Titans got off to a slow start as the 49ers kicked off the game going on a 12-0 run until Berry put up the first Titan points of the game with a jumper with just over 3 minutes left in the first quarter.

Johnson's 11-point effort in the first half helped get the Titans back in the game as they ended the first half trailing Long Beach State 21-37.

The Titans were outshot in every category in the first half, yet shot 6% better from the field than the 49ers in the final 20 minutes of play.

Fullerton outscored Long Beach 36-25 in the second half, yet the deficit wasn't enough to overcome the 49ers.

Craig scored 13 of the Titans 19 points in the 4th quarter to get the Titans within reach in the final minutes of the game, yet after some key 49er rebounds the Titans were unable to get enough possession to take a lead.

Fullerton shot 40.7% from the field at 33.3% from behind the arc, while posting their second lowest free throw percentage in the last ten games, shooting 4-8 from the line.

Junior Sami Logan also remained consistent for the Titans contributing nine points and eight rebounds.

The Titans return to Titan Gym to host UC Irvine on Saturday night at approximately 6 p.m. as part of a doubleheader with the men's basketball team.

NOTES: Berry's 10 points tonight was her 11th double-digit scoring game and her fifth in a row… Also her 10 rebounds was her sixth double-digit performance of the season… Craig recorded her 8th double-digit game…
