SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Freshman Michelle Berry captured a season-high 16 rebounds and was a point away from a double-double as the Titans fell to San Diego State, 43-54 at Steve Fisher Court on Saturday afternoon.

The Titans drop to 2-10 on the year as the Aztecs improved to 4-6 overall.

Dani Craig found herself back in the starting lineup and scored eight points while collecting six rebounds after missing three straight games.

The 43 points scored by Fullerton was the second least amount scored this season as the Titans three leading scorers were held to only 22 points total. Fullerton shot 28.8% overall while shooting only 20% on three-pointers, going 6-30 from behind the arc.

The Titans set a season-high with 45 rebounds against the Aztecs, yet turnovers plagued the orange and blue as they were only one turnover away from tying a season-high at 21.

The first half was a battle for the Titans as they were caught playing catch-up throughout the entire game, yet key three-pointers from Jade Vega and Sami Logan kept them in the game late in the first half.

Berry got off to a quick start, recording 12 rebounds early in the first half to easily tie a season-high for the freshman.

The Titans came back at the start of the second half to a hot start by posting their highest-scoring quarter in the third with 13 points, the only quarter where they outscored the Aztecs.

Yet that wasn't enough as SDSU came back to outscore the Titans 11-9 in the final quarter, giving the Titans their tenth-straight loss of the year.

Although San Diego State only shot 13.3% from behind the arc, they outshot the Titans from the field, shooting 35.5%.

The Titans return to Titan Gym on Monday to host Cornell at 5:30 pm.
