IRVINE, Calif.—Cal State Fullerton freshman guard Annie Park was named to the 2013 All-Big West Freshman team Monday morning.

Park becomes the first Titan to be named to this squad since Mya Olivier earned the same nomination at the end of the 2009-10 season.

"It's a great honor for Annie to be recognized as one of the top freshman in the conference," said head coach Marcia Foster. "We are proud of her accomplishments and look forward to a bright future with her."

Park scored 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting in first collegiate start vs. UC Irvine on Jan. 12th and has started in 10 of the Titans' last 14 contests.

For the season, Park averaged 4.1 points per game, while shooting 36.4 percent from the field, 39.7 percent from three-point land, and 76.9 percent from the free throw line.  Park poured in a career-high 17 points while nailing a career-high five three-pointers on 5-of-10 shooting overall on Feb. 9th vs. UC Riverside.

Through the 18-game regular season conference schedule, Park led all Big West players in three-point percentage, as she connected on 22-of-54 treys for 40.7 percent in league play. She also ranked eighth in three-pointers made per game in Big West play, as she averaged 1.3 makes per contest.

Park will try and continue her solid freshman campaign, as she hopes to help guide Fullerton to its first Big West Tournament victory since the 2009-10 season this Tuesday when the Titans take on Long Beach State at 6:00 p.m. inside the Bren Events Center.
