CORVALLIS, Ore.—Freshman guard Jamie Weisner poured in 16 points on 5-of-9 shooting and collected 10 rebounds for her first career double-double, as her Oregon State Beavers powered past Cal State Fullerton 54-36 Thursday night at Gill Coliseum.

Chante Miles recorded her eighth double-digit scoring performance of the season, as she led Fullerton with 13 points. Kathleen Iwuoha also chipped in, as she grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds for the Titans in the loss.

Alex Thomas opened the game up with a three-pointer to give Fullerton (2-8) a 3-0 lead just under two minutes into the contest, but that would be the only advantage the Titans would see all night long.

Oregon State (6-3) immediately fired back with a 6-0 run, scoring on three of its next four possessions to take a 6-3 lead with 16:14 left in the first half.

Despite shooting a season-worst 13 percent in the first half, Fullerton only trailed Oregon State 20-14 at the break. The Beavers and Titans combined to convert on just 13 field goals in a first half defensive battle.

The poor shooting continued for both squads in the second half, but the Titans scratched their way back, grinding out an 11-6 run to open the half to bring Fullerton within 26-25 with 14:46 left to play.

But the Titans didn't have enough left in the tank offensively, as the Beavers outscored Fullerton 28-11 the rest of the way. The Titans only converted on three field goals for the remaining 14-plus minutes of the contest.

The Titans will have more than a week off before they return home to take on the San Jose State Spartans Dec. 22 at 3 p.m.

Game Notes: Kathleen Iwuoha's 10 rebounds tonight ties a career high (Last vs. UC Riverside Jan. 21, 2012)…Iwuoha is only one of two Titans to record double-digit rebounds in a game this season (Tailer Butler 10 rebs on Nov. 9 at Nevada)...36 points put up tonight is the least amount scored by Cal State Fullerton since a 69-32 loss Jan. 22, 2011 at UC Santa Barbara…Cal State Fullerton has dropped 14 consecutive games away from home going back to Jan. 18, 2012 at UC Irvine….Fullerton's current seven-game losing skid is the school's longest since dropping seven straight contests during the 2008-09 season…Titans have now lost five straight games to Pac-12 opponents going back to an 89-77 win vs. Colorado on Dec. 7, 2006…Titans fall to 0-6 all-time vs. Oregon State.
