Men's Soccer Falls in Final Seconds to Sacramento State

FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's soccer fell to Sacramento State, 1-0, in the final seconds of the match Saturday night at Titan Stadium. 

The Titans are now 8-5-5 on the year and 3-2-3 in The Big West, leaving them tied for fourth place with three other teams in the conference. 

Sacramento State earned a free-kick from about 30 yards out with 19 seconds remaining in the game leading to the game-winning header by Bryan Gutierrez. 

Fullerton dominated the majority of the match, outshooting the Hornets 30-5. The Titans 30 shots is the second highest shot total behind its match against LIFE Pacific. Nine of the Titans 30 shots were on goal. 

Sebastian Cruz led the Titans with nine shots, three of them on goal while Reziq Banihani totaled five shots with two of them on goal. 

With only two teams eliminated from the The Big West Tournament, it all comes down to next Saturday's match for the Titans as they host CSUN on senior night at 7pm.
