RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's soccer earned a point on the road as it ended the match in a 1-1 draw Wednesday night at UC Riverside.

The Titans are now 8-4-5 on the year and sit in third place in The Big West with 12 points on a 3-1-3 record.

Fullerton conceded an early goal to the Highlanders as they scored in the fourth minute to take a 1-0 lead on a goal by Oscar Penate.

The Titans came out of the locker room after the break on the attack as has been customary all season. Charly Anguiano scored the equalizer in the 51st minute on a beautiful ball from just outside the 18-yard box for his second of the season.

Sebastian Cruz made a great play in the corner of the field to fend off the highlanders defender before making a great pass to Anguiano for his sixth assist of the year. Cruz leads the team and the Big West with 22 points.

Fullerton kept the attack on for the entirety of the second half looking for the go-ahead goal but were unable to find it, recording eight shots with five of them on goal.

Reigning Big West Defensive Player of the Week, Tetsuya Kadono, had another strong game in net for the Titans with three saves while facing 14 shots.

After two consecutive road games, Fullerton returns home to Titan Stadium Saturday to face Sacramento State in its penultimate Big West match. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
