SAN DIEGO – Cal State Fullerton men's soccer and the San Diego Toreros ended its match in a 2-2 draw Sunday afternoon at Torero Stadium. The Titans are now 4-2-2 on the year.
The Titans jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first half but allowed two goals in the second, including the game-tying goal in the 87th minute of action.
Giovanni Calderon scored his first goal as a Titan in the 18th minute to put the Titans up 1-0. Ernesto Cueva and Sebastian Cruz assisted on the goal.
Fullerton took a 2-0 lead in the 35th minute as Cruz scored his Big West leading seventh goal of the season. Reziq Banihani assisted on the goal for his Big West leading sixth assist of the year.
San Diego got on the board early in the second half on a goal by Alex Churness in the 62nd minute. Chruness scored his second goal of the game and the equalizer in the 87th minute.
The Titans look to bounce back Wednesday as they head to Texas to face the University of Incarnate Word. Kickoff is set for 10:00 a.m. PT.
