Men's Soccer Loses to CSUN 2-1

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's soccer fell to CSUN by a final score of 2-1 Wednesday night at the Performance Soccer Field. The Titans are now 3-9-3 and 1-5-1 in Big West play. 

The Titans fell behind early in the match as CSUN scored in the seventh minute on a goal by Jordan Isibor. The Matadors then extended their lead to 2-0 in the 13 minute of action on a goal by Jamar Ricketts. 

Fullerton responded in the 20th minute as Sebastian Cruz drilled a penalty kick to bring the team within one goal. Cruz leads the team with seven goals this season, five of them coming on penalty kicks. 

Once again, the Titans dominated the shot chart, outshooting CSUN 19 to seven. However, five of CSUN's seven shots were on goal while the Titans got four on goal.

Cal State Fullerton looks to respond Saturday as it hits the road to face Sacramento State. Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m. PT.
