Fullerton and UC Riverside Play to 1-1 Draw

FULLERTON, Calif. – After playing two overtime periods for a total of 120 minutes, Cal State Fullerton men's soccer and UC Riverside played to a 1-1 draw Saturday night at Titan Stadium. With the draw, Fullerton is 3-8-3 and 1-4-1 in Big West play.

The Titans took the lead late in the first half as Noah Dollenmayer scored his first goal of the season in the 40th minute of play on a corner kick. Dollenmayer was able to score on a header off a perfect ball by Alex Pimentel, who recorded his first assist of the year.

UC Riverside tied the game in the 73rd minute on a goal by Oscar Penate. Federico Ucar picked up the assist on the play. 

Fullerton controlled much of the pace throughout the match and spent a lot of time in the attacking third of the field, resulting in 13 shots compared to the Highlanders 11. Sebastian Cruz led the team with four shots while Dollenmayer recorded three.

The Titans are back on the pitch Wednesday as they head to the valley to face CSUN. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. PT.
