Men's Soccer Drops Season Opener at Seattle

SEATTLE – Cal State Fullerton Men's Soccer dropped the opening game of the season 1-0 on the road to Seattle University Thursday night at Championship Field.

The Titans battled tough from start to finish but the Redhawks were able to take the lead on a free kick in the 58th minute from just outside the 18-yard box. Declan McGlynn scored the game-winning goal for Seattle. 

Fullerton's goalkeeper Andrea Bonavia kept the team in the game, racking up seven saves in the match. Mario Gomez gave the Titans several chances in the offensive zone as he recorded three shots with two of them on goal. 

The Titans are back in action Sunday afternoon against No. 9 Washington at Husky Soccer Stadium with kickoff set for 3:00 p.m. PT.
