FULLERTON, Calif. – After racking up 20 points each in 2019, Christian Pinzon has been named to the All-Far West Region Second Team while Oscar Flores earned Third Team honors.
Pinzon led the team with 21 points which ranked second in the Big West Conference, on seven goals and seven assists. Pinzon also earned First Team All-Conference honors.
Flores was second on the team with 20 points, ranking tied for fifth in the Big West, on seven goals and six assists. Along with Pinzon, Flores was named to the Big West All-Conference First Team.
Both recorded the most points in a single season since Alex Heilmann recorded 26 in 2016. Pinzon and Flores came up clutch for the Titans all throughout the year as Pinzon recorded three game-winning goals while Flores scored two game-winning goals.
The two far exceeded their previous career-highs for points scored in a season. Heading into the year Flores had recorded a total of three points in the previous three seasons with one goal and one assist. The redshirt senior recorded more points in the first two games of the season in 2019 then his previous 44 games played.
Pinzon also took on a bigger scoring role in 2019, recording nine more points then his total of 12 in 2018. The junior had not recorded an assist in his first two seasons at Cal State Fullerton before leading the team with seven which finished the regular season tied for second in the Big West.
