FULLERTON, Calif.  – After setting the record for best start in the history of the program with its win over Cal Baptist Wednesday to improve to 8-0, Cal State Fullerton men's soccer returns to the pitch Sunday against No. 24 Loyola Marymount.

LMU heads into Sunday's matchup with a record of 5-2-1 after suffering a loss to fellow Big West member, Cal Poly, Thursday night. The Titans are 14-4 all-time against LMU, including last years 1-0 road victory on a goal by Christian Pinzon.

Pinzon has been stellar so far this season, racking up 16 points, which ranks third in the Big West Conference, on five goals and six assists. The juniors six assists ranks second in the conference and is tied for third in the entire country. After recording a goal and an assist in both wins over Air Force and then ranked No. 14 FGCU on Sept. 13 and 15, respectively, Pinzon was named Top Drawer Soccer's National Player of the Week.

Redshirt senior Oscar Flores is not far behind Pinzon in the point standings with 13 on five goals and three assists. Flores' 13 points ranks fifth in the Big West Conference while his five goals ranks tied for fourth alongside Pinzon.

Goalkeeper Paul-Andre Guerin has been nothing short of spectacular this season, earning four shutouts in eight games. With his shutout Wednesday against Cal Baptist, Guerin tied Mike Ammann for most shutouts in the history of the program with 19.

The senior goalkeeper, with help from the terrific backline of Sam Molz, Edward Salazar, Clayton Torr and Jose Delgado, has allowed just five goals this season for an average of 0.62 goals per game, ranking second in the Big West.
