FULLERTON, Calif. – After trailing for much of the game, Cal State Fullerton (2-0) scored two goals in the second half including one by freshman Diego Useda in the 82nd minute which led to the Titans 2-1 victory over Bryant (0-2) Sunday night at Titan Stadium.

The Titans got off to a slow start, giving up the first goal of the season in the 37th minute of action to Ben Williams of the Bulldogs. Fullerton, however, came out of the locker in the second half motivated and energized. After only getting three shots off in the first 45 minutes of play the Titans recorded 11 shots in the second half.

Fullerton was constantly knocking on the door in the second and Oscar Flores was finally able to break through in the 70th minute to tie the game at 1-1. The goal is Flores' second of the season in just two games. The redshirt senior has stepped up as a go-to goal scorer for the team after having just one goal in his career coming into the season.

Freshman Tyler Marquez and sophomore Jessy Sotelo both picked up assists in the match, recording their first NCAA Division I points. With the win, the Titans start the season 2-0 for the first time under Head Coach George Kuntz and the first time since 2007.

The Titans return to action Friday as they host Loyola Chicago at Titan Stadium in a doubleheader with the women's soccer team. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. PT.
