FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's soccer (0-1-2) fell to the University of New Mexico (2-2) Sunday night at Titan Stadium 5-1.

The Titans played a great first half as they were tied 1-1 heading into the locker room after Samuel Goni scored an amazing goal in th 19th minute. Nick Taylor scored in the 13th minute for New Mexico to take an early lead but the Titans answered quickly.

The Lobos took the lead in th 51st minute on a goal by Matt Puig. Fullerton made several attempts to come back and got good looks on goal but were unable to hit paydirt.

Fullerton tied New Mexico in shots at 10 each, while even out-shooting them in the second half six shots to five. The Titans also earned the same amount of corner kicks on the night, three.

The Titans now look to bounce back as they embark on a three-game road trip beginning with California Baptist Friday at 4 p.m. PT.
