FULLERTON, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton men's soccer team will make its 12th appearance in the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship as they will host Santa Clara in the first round on Thursday, Nov. 19 at Titan Stadium at 7 p.m. The field of 48 teams was announced on Monday morning by the Division I Men's Soccer Committee.
The Titans will play host to Santa Clara (10-7-1, 5-1-1 WCC) who earned the West Coast Conference's automatic bid after defeating San Diego on Saturday night.
The Titans and Broncos met earlier this season in Santa Clara in which the Titans captured their first road win of the season, beating the Broncos 2-1.
This will be the first time the two teams have met on the national stage while the Broncos currently lead the all-time series 11-8-2. Yet the Titans lead the series against the Broncos while playing at Titan Stadium 5-3-2.
The Titans will be making their second-straight NCAA appearance while this will be the third-straight for head coach George Kuntz.
