Victoria, Texas - Dakota Duerr shot a 2-under par 70 and Mark Anguiano shot even 72 Monday to help Cal State Fullerton move up to eighth place from a tie for tenth in the 12-team Jim West Intercollegiate men's golf tournament.

The Titans improved by 9 strokes from Sunday to total 593 (301, 292), 16 over par. The tourney leader is Idaho at 4-under 572 after a sizzling 280 on Monday. First-day leader Stephen F. Austin scored 296 for a total of 580 and fell into third place behind runnerup Sam Houston State at 577.

Other Titan scores were 151 by Corey Gard and Scott Rubzin and 163 by John San Juan. Playing as an individual, Ryan Tetrault scored 148 to tie for 25th place.

The final 18 holes will be played Tuesday.
