Mark Anguiano and Corey Gard each shot a 2-over-par 74 in the opening round Sunday of the Jim West Intercollegiate Men's Golf Tournament at Victoria Country Club where Cal State Fullerton is tied for tenth in the 12-team field.
Stephen F. Austin took the first-round lead with a 4-under-par 284. Sam Houston State is second at 290 while the Titans are tied with Houston Baptist at 301, 13 over.
The other Titan scores were 75 by Dakota Duerr, 78 by Scott Rubzin and 81 by John San Juan.
The second round of 18 holes will be played Monday with the final round on Tuesday.
