Titans Rally to Title

Beaumont, Calif. - Mark Anguiano, Ryan Tetrault and Dakota Duerr each shot a 1-under-par 71 Tuesday as Cal State Fullerton rallied for the championship of the Braveheart Men's Golf Classic by one stroke over Sacramento State at Oak Valley Golf Club.

With Corey Gard's 1-over 73, the Titans scored 286 on the final round to total 859 and pick up 11 strokes on the two-round leading Hornets, who carded a 297 on Tuesday to finish at 860. USF was third a stroke back at 861.

The tourney title was the third of the year for Fullerton.

Individual honors went to Ji Hwan Park of USF at 210.

Anguiano (67-75-71) and Tetrault (71-71-71) tied for seventh at 213. Duerr (70-73-71) placed tenth at 214. Gard came in at 224 to tie for 28th and Scott Rubzin finished with a 77 to total 2223 and tie for 23rd.

Playing as individuals, Darren Saqi scored 236, John San Juan totaled 240 and Josh Harvey came in at 253.
