KINGSBURG, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton's men's golf finished in second place at the Nick Watney Invitational on Tuesday after shooting 25-under par 827.
Harry Doig closed the final round tied for first place after shooting a 14-under par 199 (67-67-65). Doig shot an impressive 6-under par in the third and final round to earn a share of the individual title. Long Beach's Ian Gilligan (66-64-69) shared the top of the leaderboard with Doig.
Matthew Schafer finished the tournament 4-under par 209, leaving him tied for ninth place. Trevor McNary shot a 1-under par 212 (77-68-67). He tied for 20th place after shooting his best round of the tournament. Russell Howlett joined him tied for 20th place.
Howard Yoon tied for 34th place with a score of 1-over par 214, while Garrett Boe finished tied for 61st place 7-over par 220.
Long Beach State shot a 30-under par 822 to win the tournament.
The Titans will return to the golf course on Oct. 10 and 11 at the Oregon State Invitational.
