COTO DE CAZA, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton men's golf team tied for first place after the first day of the Orange County Collegiate Classic with UC Irvine.
Both teams shot a 12-over 588 after two rounds of play on Monday morning.
The Titans and the Anteaters are 6 strokes ahead of the third place Seattle University Redhawks.
Harry Doig led the Titans and finished even par. He shot 77 in the first round and 67 in the second round. Doig is one stroke under the leader, Kolbe Irei of UC Irvine and tied with Darien Zhao of UCI.
Harry Fearn is tied for 7th and 3-over par after shooting 72 in the first round and 75 in the second round.
Tegan Andrews is tied for 10th and 4-over par after 2 rounds. He shot 75 in the first round and 73 in the second round.
Garret Boe was the 4th Titan finisher in the team competition and finished tied for 18th along with Trevor McNary. Both guys shot 7-over par. Boe shot a 75 in the first round and 76 in the second round. McNary shot 76 in the first round and 75 in the second round.
On the individual side, Brannon Fahrny is tied for 10th after shooting a 4-over par. Farney shot 72 on the first round and 76 on the second round.
Matthew Schafer (+8), Dylan Walsh (+19), Jack Smyth (+26), Brendan Ashman (+30), and Cameron Xao (+33) are also competing as individuals.
The Titans will wrap the Orange County Collegiate Classic tomorrow morning. It will be a shotgun start at 8:30 am on Tuesday morning.
