VALENCIA, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's golf finished the Bill Cullum Invitational in third place with a score of 25-over par 889.
Harry Doig led the team individually with a tied for second place finish after shooting even par 216. Doig shot a 70 and 72 on day one of the tournament before shooting a 74 in the third and final round.
Tegan Andrews placed tied for 12th with a score of 5-over par 221. Andrews shot a 73 in rounds one and three with a 75 in round two. Garrett Boe shot 8-over par 224 to finish the tournament tied for 17th. Boe shot a 76 and 75 in rounds one and two before improving with a 73 in round three.
Trevor McNary finished tied for 38th with a score of 14-over par 230. McNary shot an 80 in round one and a 75 in rounds two and three. Matthew Schafer placed 74th after shooting 30-over par 246 (78-83-85).
Brendan Ashman and Jack Smyth competed in the tournament as individuals for the Titans. In his first collegiate tournament, Ashman placed tied for 64th at 24-over par 240 (83-77-80) while Smyth finished tied for 67th with a score of 25-over par 241 (84-79-78).
Fullerton is back on the links Oct. 25-26 in Hawai'i for the Hoakalei Country Club Collegiate.
