LIHU'E, Kaua'i, HI. – 36 holes of the 54-hole John A. Burns Intercollegiate are now in the books. The Titans moved up from 11th place into a tie for eighth place out of 21 participating teams. Fullerton shot a combined score of 3-over par, 291 on Friday afternoon, for a two-day total of 11-over par, 587.
Dalton Daniel continues to lead the Titan golfers. Daniel is only six shots off of the lead, and is tied for 27thplace, with a one-over par two day total. Matt Rafter shot a blistering 70 on Saturday to move into a tie for 33rd place with a 2-over par total. Garrett Boe is tied for 51st place. Derek Castillo is tied for 68th place, and Jack Dyer completes the group tied for 108th place.
All 21 teams and 122 golfers will return for a final 18 holes on Saturday. With the large field, there are a lot of golfers bunched up. The tournament is being played at the par 72, 6,991-yard Wailua Golf Course.
