LIHU'E, Kaua'i, HI. – After 18 holes of the 54-hole John A. Burns Intercollegiate, the Titans find themselves in 11th place out of 21 participating teams. Fullerton shot a combined score of eight-over par, 296 on Thursday afternoon.
Dalton Daniel logged the low Titan score with a 1-under par 71 to put himself in a tie for 10th place, just two shots off of the lead. In an odd coincidence, all four of his Fullerton team mates, Derek Castillo, Jack Dyer and Garrett Boe finished the day with 3-over par scores of 75, and are in an 18-way tie for 58thplace. Matt Rafter finished one stroke behind the pack with a 4-over par, 76. Rafter is tied for 75th place.
All 21 teams and 122 golfers will return on Friday to complete 18 additional holes, with the final 18 holes to be played on Saturday. The tournament is being played at the par 72, 6,991-yard Wailua Golf Course.
