EWA BEACH, Hi. – Two rounds of the Hoakalei Country Club Invitational are now in the books. After starting the day in third place, the Titans dropped a stroke and are in sixth place with a team score of four-under par 572. 20 teams and 113 golfers are participating in the tournament.
Jack Dyer and Derek Castillo are continuing their season-long streak of low numbers. Dyer is tied for sixth place with a two-day total of six-under par 138. Castillo is right on his heals with a five-under par 139 and is tied for eighth place. Both golfers are in the medal hunt.
After shooting two-under par yesterday, Matt Rafter found some trouble on Tuesday, shooting four-over par. Rafter is currently tied for 49th place with a two-over par 146.
Michael Sharkey, tied for 74th place, is in the clubhouse with a two-day total of five-over par 149. Dalton Daniel had the roughest day, adding eight strokes to his score. Daniel is tied for 96th place with a nine-over par 153. Garrett Boe, playing as an individual, is at six-over par 150, and is tied for 78th place.
All participants will play a final 18-holes on Wednesday for team and individual championships.
