SIMI VALLEY, Calif. – The Fullerton men's golf team recorded its best finish of the young season Tuesday afternoon at the Bill Cullum Invitational, placing second with a score of 13-under par 851.

Boise State ran away with the tournament late, finishing with a score of 21-under par 843. Brian Humphreys of Boise State took first place individually after shooting a 11-under par 205.

First-year transfer Jack Dyer recorded his best finish as a Titan, placing sixth with a score of 5-under par 211. Dyer finished off the tournament strong with a score of 3-under par 69 after shooting a 72 and 70 in rounds one and two.

With a score of 2-under par 214, Dalton Daniel finished tied for 10th place. It is Daniel's second top-10 finish this season in just three tournaments so far. Daniel shot a 70 in round one before shooting a 71 in round two and a 73 in round three.

Matt Wilson finished right behind Daniel with a 1-under par 215 to place him tied for 13th. Wilson, like Dyer, finished the tournament off with his best round of the tournament with a 4-under par 68 after shooting a 70 and 77 in rounds one and two.

In his first tournament of the season and first as a Titan after transferring from Cypress College, Matt Rafter finished tied for 17th place with a score of even at par 216 (71-74-71). Freshman Jess Scheller, who competed as an individual in the tournament, placed tied for 41st after shooting a 5-over par 221 (76-72-72).

Michael Sharkey placed tied for 56th place with a score of 8-over par 224 (76-72-76). CJ Coleman, who also competed as an individual, finished tied for 83rd after shooting a 18-over par 234.

The Titans have a little over a week off before heading to Hawaii for the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational beginning Oct. 28.
