SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Mark Cobey climbed 10 spots to fifth in the standings, while the Cal State Fullerton men' golf team fired its best round of the tournament to finish sixth at the OGIO UCSB Intercollegiate at Sandpiper Golf Club on Tuesday.

The Titans fired a third-round score of 291, to conclude the tournament at 20-over-par 884, good for sixth place. Big West foe Cal Poly also shot a 291 for the third round, and the Mustangs were able to hang on to their lead, finishing the tournament at 2-under-par 862 to claim the 2016 OGIO UCSB Intercollegiate title.

Cal Poly was followed by Grand Canyon (872, +8), UC Santa Barbara (874, +10), Long Beach State (878, +14), Weber State (880, +16), Cal State Fullerton (884, +20), CSUN (886, +22), Incarnate World (902, +38) and CSU Bakersfield (927, +63).

Cobey rose 10 spots on the leader board firing the best round of the day, as his third-round score of 4-under-par 68, moved him to fifth in the standings with a three-round total of 214 (-2). His third-round score of 68 matched a career best, while his fifth-place finish was a career-best for the native of Woodland, Calif.

Freshman Matt Wilson shot a third-round total of 3-under-par 69, moving up 14 spots on the leader board to complete the tournament tied for 12th in the standings with a three-round total of 3-over-par 219.

Redshirt freshman Davis Holman led the Titans after two rounds on Monday, but struggled shooting a 79 (+7) in the third round to finish the day tied for 27th with a three-round score of 8-over-par 224.

Freshman Jack Ireland finished the tournament tied for 35th with a three-round total of 11-over-par 227 after firing a round of-3-over-par 75 in the third round.

Junior Matt Murphy finished 58th with a three-round score of 29-over-par 245.

Competing as an individual, Nico Mendoza shot an 85 (+13) in the third round, dropping to 52nd in the standings with a total score of 19-over-par 235.

CSUN's Felix Mory was the individual medalist, completing the tournament at 8-under-par 208.

The Titans will return to action, Monday-Wednesday, May 2-4, at the Big West Conference Championship held at Wood Ranch Golf Course in Simi Valley, Calif.
