Titans Finish Day Two of Winchester Classic in Second Place

FULLERTON, Calif. - After two rounds of play at the Winchester Classic, the Cal State Fullerton men's golf team currently stands in second place after shooting a second round 292 (+4). The Titans will enter the final round behind conference foe and co-host UC Davis.

UC Davis shot a one-over par (289) to finish the day atop the leaderboard. UC Davis has shot a total score of 578 over the days to finish two-over par. Long Beach State and Oklahoma Christian finished the day tied for third after finishing 10-over par over two days. UC Santa Barbara shot a second round 302 Saturday to fall from first place to fifth.

Oklahoma Christian's Sam Johnston stands atop the individual leaderboard after shooting a second round 68 (-4). Johnston through two rounds has shot a five-under par (139). UC Santa Barbara's Glen Scher is in second place after shooting a 70 (-2).

Senior Dakota Duerr led the Titans in the second round with a score of 71 (-1). Duerr finished the day in fifteenth place with a total score of 146. Junior Corey Gard shot a second round 73 and will begin day three tied for sixteenth place.

After shooting a team best 70 during the first round, Ryan Tetrault shot a second round 74 to drop from second place to tied for sixth. Mark Anguiano also shot a two-over par (74) on Saturday and will beging the final round tied for ninth place. Josh Park shot a three-over par (75) and through two rounds has a score of 150. Park finished day two tied for 27th place.

Play at the Winchester Classic wraps up tomorrow Sunday (April 21) with the final round starting at 8 a.m. The final 18 holes again feature tee times and there is no live scoring for the event.
