Fullerton, Calif. - Three community college players have returned national letters of intent to continue their men's basketball careers at Cal State Fullerton. Papa Guisse, a 6-foot-8 forward/center from Salt Lake City Community College; Ray Miller, a 6-foot-8 center from Iowa Western College in Council Bluffs; and J. J. Seymore, a 5-foot-11 guard from Coffeyville Community College in Kansas all will be expected to see action next season since the Titans lost six seniors to graduation.

"Guisse has good size, is a good outside shooter and a good rebounder," said Head Coach Bob Burton. "He played real well in the national tournament.

"Miller is a terrific post defender and a great all-around rebounder. He's very athletic and will give us a real inside presence at about 225 pounds.

"Seymore can play either the "1" or "2" guard. He is extremely quick and is a prolific scorer. He gives us a lot of flexibility at the guard position."

Guisse has two remaining years of eligibility while Miller and Seymore have three years to play two seasons.

Guisse's Bruins team advanced to the national championship game last season, losing to South Plains College, 67-56. He averaged 7.2 points and 6.6 rebounds in a 32-4 season. He shot 52 percent from the floor and 74 percent from the free-throw line.

Miller's Reivers team went 27-5 last year. He averaged 9.9 points and 6.1 rebounds. He shot 58 percent from the floor.

Seymore's Ravens team went 24-9 in 2007-08 and placed third in Region 6. He averaged 14.9 points and 4.9 assists. He made 91 of 235 attempts (.387) from behind the 3-point line and had 53 steals.

Fullerton earlier in the month signed Chris Rhymes, a 6-foot-4 guard from Cowley County Community College in Arkansas City, Kansas. In the Fall, the Titans signed 6-foot-4 wing player Aaron Thompson from Cerritos College and 6-foot point guard Jacques Streeter from Finley Prep in Las Vegas, NV.

The Titan shared the Big West Conference regular season championship last season and won the post-season tournament, finishing the campaign with a best-ever Div. I record of 24-9.
