New York, NY - Senior guard Josh Akognon today became the fourth Cal State Fullerton men's basketball player to earn All-American honorable mention by the Associated Press.
Akognon joins Leon Wood (1984), Cedric Ceballos (1990) and Scott Cutley (2008) on the short list. Akognon won conference player of the year honors while Cutley shared that trophy and Wood and Cdeballos had to settle for first-team all-conference honors.
Akognon will be playing Friday in the nationally televised Hershey's All-Star Game at Ford Field in Detroit, staged in conjunction with the Fianl Four. The game is on CBS.
