Basketball Team Saluted at Angels Game

March 28, 2008

Anaheim, Calif. - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim saluted the 2007-08 Cal State Fullerton men's basketball team prior to their exhibition game Thursday night at Angel Stadium against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Coach Bob Burton threw out the ceremonial first pitch to Angels rookie Brandon Wood as the team lined up behind the pitcher's mound. The Angels made 500 tickets available to CSF students and staff for the game, which ended in a 2-2 tie after 10 innings.

Earlier in the day, Burton did an in-studio segment on ESPN radio 710 AM with Steve Mason, a week to the day after the Titans' loss to Wisconsin in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, where Fullerton competed for the first time since 1978.
