Irvine, Calif. - Senior forward Gerard Anderson today was named as one of six players on the first-team All-Big West Conference Men's Basketball squad selected by the nine head coaches.

Titan teammates Jer'Vaughn Johnson, a junior forward, and Jacques Streeter, a sophomore point guard, earned honorable mention.

The balance of the first team was player of the year Orlando Johnson of UCSB, Joe Ford of Pacific, Kyle Austin of UC Riverside, Lorenzo Keller of Cal Poly and T. J. Robinson of Long Beach State. Austin is the only repeat selection. Anderson won honorable mention last season and this year overcame a position change and a December hand injury.

Bob Williams of UCSB was selected coach of the year and Julian Welch of UC Davis was tabbed freshman of the year.
