FULLERTON, Calif. — Cal State Fullerton men's basketball's Latrell Wrightsell Jr., Max Jones and Tory San Antonio earned All-Big West Conference accolades on Monday, with Wrightsell Jr. being named to the First Team. Jones picked up Honorable Mention honors while San Antonio was named Big West Defensive Player of the Year.

Wrightsell Jr. earned All-Big West First Team accolades after leading the Titans in scoring with 16.3 points per game in the regular season, good for fifth in the conference. He also led the team with 2.4 assists per contest and 1.5 steals per game. The Omaha, Nebraska, native shot 42.9% from the floor, including 39.9% from distance, averaging 2.48 three-pointers per game. He also finished the season as an 83.5% free-throw shooter.

Wrightsell Jr. posted eight 20-point games on the season, including a career-high 29-point scoring output in a win at UC Riverside on January 5th. He tallied a career-high seven steals versus CSU Bakersfield on January 16th, two short of the program record set by Cedric Ceballos in 1989.

Jones garnered All-Conference Honorable Mention accolades after averaging 12.1 points and 2.1 assists per game in his first regular season as a Titan. He shot 36.6% on the season and 73.6% from the charity stripe. The University of Tampa transfer averaged 16.1 points per contest over the final eight games of the season, scoring a Fullerton career-high 19 against Long Beach State on February 2nd.

San Antonio became the second Titan in program history to win Big West Defensive Player of the Year, joining Frank Robinson who received the honor at the conclusion of the 2007-08 season. San Antonio was routinely tasked with guarding the opponent's primary playmaker throughout the season, causing fits for opposing offenses.

The Moreno Valley native led a Titan defense that held opponents to a Big West-best 62.72 points per contest in conference games. San Antonio averaged 0.73 steals and 0.46 blocks to go with 7.2 points and 4.5 rebounds per contest, starting in all 30 games.

Fullerton looks to build onto its six-game winning streak as it takes on Hawai'i in the quarterfinals of the 2023 Big West Men's Basketball Championship at the Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nevada. The Titans – the No. 4 seed – will face the No. 5 seed Rainbow Warriors on Thursday, March 9th, at 2:30 p.m. PT.
