SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Cal State Fullerton men's basketball cruised to a 65-36 road win over Cal Poly Saturday night at the Mott Athletics Center. The win improves the Titans' record to 12-11 on the season and 6-5 in Big West play.

Max Jones led all scorers with 16 points on six-of-seven shooting to go with five rebounds and three assists on the night. Jalen Harris added 13 points and Latrell Wrightsell Jr. had 10 points and four rebounds for the Titans. As a team, Fullerton held the Mustangs to 29.2% shooting while posting a 48.8% clip of its own.

Cal Poly got out to a 5-2 advantage early in the game before back-to-back baskets from John Mikey Square and a pair of jumpers from Wrightsell Jr. put the Titans up 10-5. Three-pointers from Harris, Tory San Antonio and Jones later gave Fullerton a 19-8 lead.

Fullerton continued its hot shooting from deep, with triples from Jones and Daeshawn Eaton capping a 14-3 run to give the Titans a 33-11 advantage. Grayson Carper added a trey as Fullerton took a 37-16 lead into the locker room.

Back-to-back three-pointers from Wrightsell Jr. extended the Titans' lead to 43-16 early in the second half. Another Carper triple and a Jones jumper then put Fullerton up 31, 49-18. A 10-0 Mustang run cut into their deficit, 53-32, midway through the second half. But the Titans scored the next seven following a dunk from Jones and Vincent Lee layup to go up 60-32.

Lee and Harris combined to hit five free throws in the final minutes as Fullerton went on to take the 65-36 win.

Fullerton returns to Titan Gym next week for a pair of home matchups against Long Beach State and UC Riverside. The Titans will first take on the Beach on Thursday, February 2nd, at 7:00 p.m. PT.
