FULLERTON, Calif. — Five different Titans scored in double figures as Cal State Fullerton men's basketball defeated CSU Bakersfield 76-46 Monday night at Titan Gym. The win improves Fullerton's record to 10-9 overall and 4-3 in Big West play.

"I liked our energy tonight," said Cal State Fullerton Head Coach Dedrique Taylor. "I thought our guys executed the game plan well. It's great for us to be able to have this much depth and show that our guys coming off the bench are more than capable to contribute."

Latrell Wrightsell Jr. posted a game-high 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting, including 4-of-8 from distance, to go with a career-high seven steals and four assists. Max Jones added 13 points and four assists, while Tory San Antonio also had 13 points. Daeshawn Eaton also contributed 13 points, a Fullerton career-high, to go with three rebounds, while Garrison Wade had 11 points on the night.

As a team, the Titans shot 49.2% from the floor while holding the Roadrunners to just 36.7% shooting. Fullerton took advantage of Bakersfield's 24 turnovers, scoring 29 points off takeaways to the Roadrunners' four.

The Titans jumped out to a 7-2 lead following a pair of jumpers from San Antonio and another from Jones. Fullerton maintained control, as a Wrightsell Jr. layup and triples from San Antonio and Wade put the Titans up 17-9. An emphatic dunk from Wade gave the Titans a 10-point lead, 23-13. Jump shots from Wrightsell Jr. and Jalen Harris gave Fullerton a 27-19 advantage at the break.

The Titans caught fire from deep to start the second half, with a pair of three-pointers from Wrightsell Jr. and one from Jones capping a 12-3 Fullerton run to go up 39-22. Wrightsell Jr. hit another pair of triples and Wade added one to put the Titans up 19, 52-33.

Fullerton kept its foot on the gas, with a trio of three-pointers from Eaton giving the Titans a 63-35 advantage. Lathaniel Bastian got a layup to fall and so did Eaton as Fullerton ran away with the 76-46 win.

Up next, the Titans hit the road for a pair of away contests later this week, first taking on Long Beach State on Thursday, January 19th. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. PT.
